Stand

When you think of the word stand, what does it mean? There are 3 definitions: 1. have or maintain an upright position, supported by one's feet 2. attitude toward a particular issue; a position taken in an argument 3. remain firm and unmovable. Isaiah 40:8 says, "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever." When life throws us curveballs, we can stand on God's word because it will stand forever. When the world tries to attack and spew nonsense at you, you have a God given right to stand firm on His word and take a stand for yourself and your family. When life gets rough, remain firm and unmovable because God is right there with you. The Holy Spirit is moving and calling for us as Christians to take a stand. When the world sees us standing in the midst of turmoil and chaos, they are going to be drawn to us and wonder what we have that they don't. Then we can share the good news with them! So let's all stand firm on God's word because His word will stand forever!
